Curriculum

Course Structure

Courses in the Educational Leadership concentration prepare you to lead organizational change, build a collaborative school culture, and manage resources and technology to support a safe, effective learning environment.

All Doctor of Education students take eight core courses. Education Leadership concentration students take four additional courses with work relevant to their current and future careers. Students have the opportunity to work on engaging assignments such as the Organizational Change Initiative and the Capital Improvement Plan. TXWES also offers dissertation support from the start.

Students in the Educational Leadership concentration can also choose to obtain the Superintendent Certificate & Internship. Please note, this option is only available for Texas residents.
